How to be a Filipino Faith Healer

Having a faith healers in the family or community is a part of Filipino culture. Prior to the arrival of Spanish Colonizers, Filipino people already have the "BABAYLAN" or in some culture they call them Shamans. The Babaylans were the mediators between humans and other dimensional beings like Engkantos. And the "DIVINOS" are the faith healers who are basing their abilities from gifts from Angels or God.

PONDO

It is the reserve spiritual energy of an Albularyo to empower his incantation.

The elder Filipinos who were amulet or agimat enthusiasts believed that every time a person recites a prayer, the God the Father will bless him His spiritual energy, and that spiritual energy can give the “faith healer” an ability to make the enchantments or spells works. And so as to heal spiritual illnesses that caused by spiritual beings or demons. The spiritual body or spiritual body of the faith healer also serves as power bank of spiritual energy. Every time they recite the right prayers that spiritual power bank will be charged.

PODER

Poder is some kind of praising prayer and invocation to achieve spiritual power. It is somewhat the source of power or Pondo and it's manner of recitation is offered to a certain powerful spirits or goddess....or God...The witches offer their Poder Prayer to the devil to bless them with extraordinary power. There are many kinds of Poders, based on whoever saint or deities you are patronizing.

BAKOD

Is the a sealing or shielding spell that protects the user from spiritual attacks. The force field varies on the reserved Pondo or Poder of the user.

ORACION/ENCHANMENTS/SPELLS

Each oration or spells have a specific spirit guide and have different functions on whatever that spell is used for. If there's a spell for healing, that specific spell's spirit guide will heal the patient. The spell become effective if the the faith healer has a larger reserved spiritual energy, because the spirit guide will convert a certain amount of the faith healer's spiritual energy into a healing energy. The spirit guide will also take a part of that spiritual energy as their own food. That is why some people questioned the legitimacy of the spells because it wont work to anybody because not every body knows how to invoke the spirit guide properly not everybody has the required reserve spiritual energy to make the spirit guide follow the faith healer's will.
